As clock ticked off the final seconds, the four liquid-fueled rocket engines built in Texas, USA surged to life with a ball of blue flame. Moments later the strongback disconnected from the rocket, and the Caelum rocket propelled itself into the sky on the 20th of April, 2025.

Just over 4 minutes after launch, the demonstration satellite was released into the intended orbit, achieving a needed success to showcase the Caelum vehicle's debut flight.

"This day took a lot of work but it was worth it." said Arson, founder of Peregrine Orbital. "We knew we would do it right and that mission success was our number one priority. I think we proved that today."

Peregrine Orbital created the Caelum to answer the call from a Celestial Space Corporation run multi-group program. It is a rocket design that is intended to be cheaper and more reliable over today's competition. The Celestial Space Corp. has ordered 3 launches from Peregrine.

The Caelum rocket is intended to become a partially reusable system, aiming to achieve that by May 2025.

The Ro-Space market is currently lacking with many less rockets in supply than upcoming satellites demanding a ride to space. This is the environment where new vehicles like Caelum will make a big impact in the future.

"Everything had to work perfectly today and everything did work perfectly. We put the satellite in precisely the correct orbit, which is the best you could hope for."

"It was is a fun rocket to code, and a fun launch to livestream. I'm excited to see where this group goes in the future."
