Karman Aerospace, once the leading face of RoSpace, operating a large capable rocket system and holding large partnerships with major groups, has been in a very long period of complete silence. This causes many to wonder about the current state of the group.
The last public announcement that came from Karman was in January, and it was the announcement for the launch date of the ECHO-2 mission, which was said to be the first of February. Since then, no other word has been given to the public, and it appears that no significant operations have been continuing since then.
According to an insider report, the current state of the group is unknown, and the main reason for the lack of updates is because of poor management and a lack of availability within the high ranking teams.
RoSpace Now approached Planeverse, the CEO of Karman Aerospace, but we have yet to receive a response.
We also went to Kwingo, the former President of the group, with questions. This was his view on the state of Karman Aerospace. "From what I can tell they are no longer around. There comes a point when you have to prioritise life and your real future over these things, and I can tell that is where everything went. It really started when I resigned last year, as really the last highly motivated member of the team, when I departed it kind of left the group without that figure. I know there has been attempts to get stuff going again but the way I see it, there isn't much they can do to achieve that with the way things are going." He said.
While it seems there have been multiple spurts of activity within the recent past, the future of Karman Aerospace is uncertain. The UK-based company is yet to confirm any pause in operations, but it seems they have been bringing to a halt internal work for the company, including where engineers and technicians were manufacturing and testing hardware for multiple rockets for future missions.
